An increasing number of people are using the internet today, we use the internet from online shopping to online grocery from browsing to online communication, it has become part of everyday life, every company is processing some personal data regularly, people are not aware of the how the information is collected. PRIVACY: Although the internet has many benefits for users but one disadvantage, we come across is, privacy in growing tech has become a pressing issue, the risk of leak of personal information and its inappropriate use has become a growing concern. This article is not just about privacy. However, it is persuaded by the fact that there are some important privacy-related issues of online activities that one does, from buying your weekly groceries online, the question arises (Does the grocery app, store information on your purchases? And sells it to third parties?) From online teaching (Does virtual learning allow students behavior to be tracked) if people are aware of it are, they willing to change this habit, in fact the important question is are they aware of it, it is, therefore, important to make people aware about it. DIGITAL INDIA: As India is moving to a Digital India in a Digital world, from digitization in governance, healthcare to digitization in educational service. As more and more Indians are online, we need comprehensive detailed legislation to protect one\'s privacy. ISSUES: The main issue one faces online is Spying and Snooping, Data collection, IP address tracking, Location Tracking, Information Mishandling. This article\'s main aim is to provide an overview of existing legislation and about a new PROTECTION DATA BILL: which has been made on the recommendations of Srikrishna Committee which would create the first cross-sectoral legal framework for data protection in India.
