The concept of Rule of Law in modern society has its significance from the Americas to Eastern Asia on a world map, though in different modes and rigors. It has often been characterized as an idea that can eradicate many social evils, yet the understanding of the term is very minimal outside the legal sphere. The most worrying sign in modern times is the manner in which politically dominant groups invoke the Rule of Law to undermine human rights. The fact that makes this concept interesting as well as difficult for the common people to understand is that it is an interception of law and politics and therefore an aspect of superiority is automatically attached in the manner of working of both entities. The world today is full of disinformation, fake news, and technology which not only influences our thoughts but in effect changes the course of election results, or abuse of human rights of minority groups and therefore a positive step should be taken in this regard which can be brought with the help of the concept of rule of law. The paper will deal in detail with the several aspects of modern rule of law and how the periphery of the rule of law can further be expanded to widen the scope of human rights in a specific situation and this will help in understanding the core necessities for the application of rule of law, how the principles can be brought in to normal life issues and how can it be best protected against the tyrannies in the contemporary world.
