Right to Life under article 21 is a very important Fundamental Right guaranteed by the Constitution. It deals with Protection of life and liberty. It is applicable to natural persons, i.e., Indian Citizens and Foreigners both. All rights operate on life, thus, right to life can be said to be fundamental of all rights. In Olga Tellis & Ors V. Bombay Municipal Corporation & Ors (1986 AIR 180), the Courtestablishes, life means much more than mere animal existence and the Right to Livelihood is an essential element of it. The paper is a case analysis of the aforementioned case.
