This research paper was done to answer the question "Is live-In Relationship a legal taboo?" This question implies that does live-in Relationship, even though it has been accepted by the law of our nation and many other nations, is it still an unacceptable taboo? The paper unwinds an answer to this question by taking a major example of the Indian society, as it is our nation and the first research should always start at your home. Other than the Indian society, I took an example of the American society, the Japanese society and the Middle Eastern countries. My reason for taking these three places other than India was to do a comparison between India such other countries where there is a lot of freedom and societal acceptance to Live-In Relationships than in India (America), where there is a growing popularity to the practice of such Relationships but the law and society don\'t really accept it (Japan) and where this type of relationships are strictly banned by the society and punishable by law (middle Eastern countries). Further in this research paper, the need for Live-in Relationships in the context of LGBT+ people was written and how this type of practice is very essential to that very community. At the concluding stage of this paper, the effects of live-In Relationships on the Indian media were discussed. How the media takes it upon them to portray such practices which are considered as Taboo by many cultures and religions in our country in a light and positive way. It shows the power the media holds.
